    MEMORIAL DAY Faces of Sacrifice

Monday, May 12, 2025 at 8:00 AM until Monday, May 26, 2025 at 11:59 PMPacific Daylight Time UTC -07:00

Memorial Day is observed each year on the last Monday in May as a solemn tribute to the men and women of the United States Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. First commemorated in 1868 as “Decoration Day,” it began when veterans of the Civil War placed flowers on the graves of their fallen comrades. Over time, the holiday expanded to honor Americans who have died in all wars, serving as both a national moment of gratitude and a reminder of the cost of freedom.

We invite you to share your loved one’s story and memory as part of our Memorial Day tribute. Please tell us their name, rank, branch of service, dates of service, and any favorite photo or personal anecdote you’d like included. Your submission will help ensure their sacrifice is remembered and their legacy lives on in our community observance.
