    MLK Caring Cougar Cards

Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 4:00 PM until 5:00 PMPacific Standard Time UTC -08:00

Celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy by creating Caring Cougar Cards with our WSU community. This hybrid service event brings together six WSU campuses on one shared Zoom: five campuses will host in-person card-making rooms (joining Zoom as a group), while Global Campus will welcome individual virtual attendees.

You will design and write messages of encouragement on greeting cards that will be delivered to our partner organizations. Prefer to serve close to home? You can choose a local organization in your community to receive your cards. Please email jessica.perone@wsu.edu for assistance.

Virtual participants will receive either or both electronic letter templates and/or a supply kit with instructions. S & A fee-paying current global campus students, please select RSVP to register by January 5, 2026, to receive a supply kit. This will ensure delivery on time. Non-S & A fee paying and non-global campus students and those who register after the deadline will receive the electronic email templates only.

Global campus student who lives close to a WSU campus, you are welcome to participate in person. On-campus participants just show up; materials are provided.
