Join us for a 3-part Black History Month virtual series.

Series theme: Beyond the Headlines: Human Stories and Lived History
Series goal: Explore people, moments, and cultural traditions in an intentional, reflective, humanized way—so they aren’t reduced to dates, statistics, or names in a textbook.

In this first part of the series, we will spotlight Black innovators whose contributions transformed agriculture, medicine, and daily life—while also acknowledging the barriers that shaped their journeys and legacies. We will explore individuals such as George Washington Carver and more, focusing not only on what they are known for, but also on the human context behind their stories: motivation, sacrifice, resilience, and the complicated systems that influenced recognition and ethics. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of innovation as lived experience—not just accomplishment.

Registration is no longer available because the registration deadline has passed.
