Are you interested in pursuing your Doctor of Pharmacy, but not sure how that translates to a career? Join us for a conversation with Dr. Cheyenne Frazier, one of our faculty whose clinical passion is improving the care for people who are transgender and gender-diverse.

In her PGY2 ambulatory care residency Frazier worked in a gender-affirming clinic where she learned about medications for people who are transgender, and she heard first-hand from her patients how stigma and barriers to health care affected them. She became passionate about educating students and health care providers about medical care for people who are transgender, as well as cultural competency to create affirming spaces. She teaches transgender care in the WSU Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum and she has presented on these topics, as well as the use of gender affirmation hormone therapy at national pharmacy organization meetings. She is a member of the Gender Resource Alliance of the Inland Northwest – a group that focuses on improving the care of transgender patients. In addition to her passion for gender affirming care, she spends time at the Mann-Granstaff VA Medical Center in Spokane, Washington where she has an ambulatory care clinic to care for patients with diabetes and other chronic medical conditions. She will share her educational and clinical journey and answer questions about the practice of gender affirming clinical pharmacy. You won’t want to miss this!
